A Pair of Sunglasses

Wedged between other items was a pair of oversized sunglasses — cracked but still fashionable. They were the kind you’d wear on a yacht or at a beach resort. Some joked the fish had been going for a new look. More likely, they’d fallen off someone during a boat trip and ended up as an accidental snack. It added a touch of absurdity to the haul. Who knew a fish could double as a lost-and-found bin?
A Pocket Watch

Tangled in seaweed inside the fish’s stomach was an old-fashioned pocket watch. Though rusted and stuck at 4:13, it had a vintage charm. There was even a tiny inscription: To my son – Time always finds you. The crowd fell silent reading it. It felt like something out of a novel — a lost heirloom swallowed by the sea, now rediscovered by chance. Whether it had been dropped or thrown away, its reappearance was both haunting and poetic.
