9. Naming the Nameless

The family sat together in the living room, tossing around name ideas. The dog, now bathed and curled up on a blanket, looked from one person to another. “How about Lucky?” the boy said. Everyone paused — it felt right. He wasn’t just lucky to be found. They were lucky to have him. The dog wagged his tail like he agreed. And just like that, Lucky became part of the family.

10. Learning the Rules

Adjusting to a home wasn’t easy. Lucky knocked over lamps, barked at vacuums, and tried to sleep on the table once. But he learned — and so did the family. Treats and patience replaced scolding. Accidents were met with understanding. It wasn’t perfect, but it was real. Each mistake turned into a memory. And every small victory made them cheer like they’d won a trophy.
