Honoring the Helpers

Inspired by Dr. Langston, the store started a monthly “Community Hero” program. Local volunteers, teachers, nurses, and more were spotlighted and thanked with gifts and recognition. The first honoree? Dr. Langston, of course. She accepted it humbly and encouraged others to keep serving. What could’ve been just another bad headline became a ripple of good. It reminded everyone that heroes don’t always wear capes—and they deserve to be seen, heard, and respected.
